Set your child up for success - enroll them in a Babysitting Basics Class

I remember the first time I took the INHS Babysitting Basics class - I was 23 years old and I learned so much. Over half the curriculum was new information to me; even as an adult with two younger siblings. The scariest part of this is that I grew up babysitting my little sisters, cousins and neighbors. I now realize how underprepared I was, and I would have had no skills to respond appropriately in the case of an emergency situation.

Set your child up for a successful babysitting career by enrolling them in a Babysitting Basics class before their first babysitting job. This class covers first-aid, CPR, emergency preparedness such as fire safety and when to call 911, as well as other essential subjects like diaper changing, bottle feeding and discipline. And of course, we play games, decorate bags to take home and have a great time too.

When asked, 8 in 10 parents said they would pay more for a trained babysitter who holds a babysitting certification. Your child will receive a certificate of completion, as well as a business card identifying what they learned in the class, to help them become an in-demand babysitter.
